Miao Zhang

Greetings! Dr. Miao Zhang is a Professor at School of Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). Before that, Miao was an Assistant Professor at Computer Science Department, Aalborga University (AAU), Denmark. Miao also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Machine Learning Group, FIT, Monash University, with Prof. Gholamreza (Reza) Haffari, and Prof. Xiaojun Chang. Miao obtained PhD degree in Computer Science at UTS, Australia, under the supervision of Steven Su and Shirui Pan.

Current Research Interests

Efficient Large Language Models and Inference Acceleration: Model compression, attention mechanism optimization, KV cache compression, speculative decoding, and efficient inference kernels and engines.
Inference Serving Systems for LLMs and Agents: KV cache management and reuse, heterogeneous collaborative computing, hardware-software co-design, serving scheduling, and inference system architectures.
Multimodal Intelligence and Autonomous Decision-Making: Long-form and streaming video understanding, multimodal perception, self-evolving agents, multi-agent collaboration, and intelligent decision-making.
